My Time With Joe
By Dean Leon Anderson:
I like this short film as it has 2 major key things that stand out to me.
1. The short film shows how love never dies even if one of the lovers have died, we can see this when Catherine says that when he was alive she felt happy and safe and protected although there is a contrast because Joe would feel feared and scared because of the racist era they where both in.
2. I also like this short film as it shows how Catherine loves Joe although there was a bunch of negativity towards the color of his skin (an example is seen when Catherine talks about the boxing fight Joe was involved and everyone wanted Joe seriously hurt when Catherine was only there for him).
Fabulous
By James Skinner:
I liked this short film because it is presented in a very wholesome way through the start to the end of the film until we find out the shop keepers true identity, also I like how there is a contrast on the shop keepers gravely voice compared to his feminine side seen at the end of the short film.
There is also another nice contrast with the mans voice with the little girls innocent soft voice when she said "you wouldn't understand" when the shopkeeper was talking about being yourself is the biggest dare and how you should be yourself and not how others wont you to be.
Who Is Bill?
By Sophie Mair & Dan Gitsham:
I enjoyed this short film as it has a heart racing tense atmosphere as the constant cuts to the photo that is changing gives the feeling of tension because of the music in the background and the ambient sounds of someone opening the door/closing the door in a quite heart pumping way. The way the women reacts to the scenario she is in rubs off on the viewer which is an unpleasant and uneasy feeling, this is seen with the moments the film is quiet and worrying.
Also this short film has wonderful characters such as the wife on how she keeps her characters emotions.
Enough
By Tor Kristoffersen:
I felt like this short film was created fantastically as it has two major emotions such as:
guilt and possibly a sense of depression
these are both seen when the father of the boy was drinking his guilt away from his son causing harm onto another child. we also see this as soon as the father gets stabbed and the son instantly goes towards his father and shouts at the other teenagers asking why they did that.
We also may see depression through the father supposedly drinking his sorrows away with alcohol
There is also another small little detail seen when the camera is below the father when he is storming over to his son and the other group of teenagers which makes him seen to be superior
